25th April it’s in Italy an official holiday.
The 25th April is the day that Italy commemorates the liberation of the country by Allied troops and Italian Partisans in the Second World War. The 25th April 1945 Milan was liberated.
The Italian Resistance Movement, together with the help of allied forces
fought against the Nazis, who invaded Italy, and liberated the people
of Italy from the fascist regime. Men and women had an equal
participation in this struggle and finally won their liberty.
For this day we post “Bella Ciao”, probably the most famous song of Italian Resistance.
